Felicia Williams - Receptionist

Felicia Williams – Receptionist

You’ll get a warm welcome from Felicia, our first shift receptionist, who joined Three Crowns Park in 2017. From answering calls to guiding visitors, family members and residents around campus, her goal each day is to make everyone smile – and, she succeeds!

What Felicia most appreciates about her work here is the friendly environment and close relationships between staff and residents. And, interacting with our community has taught her that “Life doesn’t stop when you reach a certain age. It only gets better!” A native of Belize, Felicia has four children and an adorable granddaughter. In her free time, she loves to spend time with her mom and her family, and, she enjoys bringing her Belizean roots to the dinner table.

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Full and Part-time

We are currently seeking caring and committed CNA’s to assist our residents with activities of daily living.

The Essential Functions:

  • Provides personal care services.
  • Showers and grooming.
  • Patient safety.
  • Charting all patient care in the electronic medical records system (PCC).
  • Reading and recording vital signs and weights.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, healthy household environment.
  • Caring for nails and skin.
  • Oral hygiene.

Take a holistic approach when providing Person-Centered Care:

  • Provide care based on the unique person’s needs and his or her right to health.
  • Focus on the abilities of the person and encourage activity.
  • Design care that is coherent.
  • Approach residents with dignity, compassion and respect. Work with an ethical perspective.

We seek the following qualifications:

  • Certified by the state of IL as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
  • Successful completion of a nursing assistant course that meets federal/state requirements
  • CPR certification required
  • Three months minimum experience in long term care preferred
  • Completed Person First Training
  • Able to follow oral and written instructions, and compose short correspondence and notes
  • Able to present information in small group and one-on-one settings
  • Works in a team responsibly and independently without direct supervision.
  • Records observations and activities
  • Good listening and communication skills.
  • Ability to complete basic math computations.

Cook/Prep Cook

Full-time position

We are currently seeking a recent Culinary Grad or equivalent experienced person to join our dining team. This position offers a variety of culinary experience from casual dining to fine dining and catering work in a professional environment with hands on guidance from the Chef and managers. This position is an ideal entry into the restaurant industry for someone looking to advance in their career. This is an excellent opportunity to learn, create, and have quality of life at the same time. No late-night hours.

The Essential Functions:

  • Prepares hot entrees, soups and vegetables following preparation sheets and provided recipes for dining room service, health care center, café and special functions. Includes accompaniments and garnishes as appropriate. Gives special attention to eye-appeal.
  • Performs food preparation using proper food handling techniques. Utilizes techniques, which comply with safety and sanitation rules and practices. Completes required food temperature checks. Tastes all food items prepared.
  • Performs advance preparation as indicated.
  • Completes preparation records and stores food items properly at close of meal service.
  • Cleans work area and equipment. Maintains a clean, safe, neat environment for residents, self, and other staff.
  • Performs other duties which may, from time to time, be assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Culinary Grad or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Food handlers / Serve Safe Certifications desired but not required for hire. Will train.
  • 1 year minimum experience preferred.
  • Able to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Enjoys working in a team environment, but will also work independently.
  • Ability to complete basic math computations.
  • Professional demeanor.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of appropriate skills for communicating with individuals of all ages, especially the geriatric population.

Physical Therapy Aide or Restorative C.N.A.

Part-time, 16 hours per week

We are currently seeking bright, energetic, creative candidates for a Restorative C.N.A. position. This position is responsible for assisting the nurse in restoring the mobility of our residents.

The Essential Functions:

  • Performs resident related restorative care services as determined by the Physical Therapist and in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern senior care facilities.
  • Maintain records of the restorative program
  • Schedule appointments as necessary
  • Document restorative program progress notes in the resident’s medical record
  • Recording and reporting a change in resident’s habits to supervisor
  • Assists patients in becoming ambulatory with appropriate equipment and in a safe manner.
  • Professional demeanor.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements
We seek the following qualifications:

  • High school diploma.
  • Current Nursing Assistant Certification (C.N.A.) in the state of Illinois.
  • One + years of C.N.A. experience.
  • Current CPR certification required.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.
  • Must enjoy working with the senior population.
  • Ability to lift 20+ lbs.
